This early 19th century saltbox is from Lancaster County,
PA. Whitewash was removed to reveal an early paint in a pleasing
soft mustard shade. The front of the case and the spice drawer
are dovetailed and the back and the base are square nail construction.
The hinges and the spice drawer pull are original. There is
a small fine repair on the bottom corner. The back measures
10 1/2 " high and the box is 9 " high and slants down to 8
" in the front. The box is 12 1/4 " wide and 7 1/8 " deep.
The lid and the base are 13 " wide. This is a great saltbox
in excellent condition. $2450.00
