19th Century Pencil Face Rag Doll - SOLD

This is a wonderful handmade early rag doll from a private collection. She is softly stuffed with cotton and rags. Her face and outer body are covered with an early cotton fabric. She has a penciled face and she is wearing a pretty light brown calico dress and very worn red cotton socks. She has a bow on her head with remnants of cotton fabric hand sewn to the back of her head showing that she may have had some kind of hat at one point. Her body is hand stitched and her clothing is both machine and handstitched.
She is 21½ " tall. SOLD
